Template:MODFLOW-LGR Dual Workflow

1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW project.
The existing model should be created using the conceptual model approach.

2. Change the simulation to use MODFLOW-LGR.
Select MODFLOW | Global Options. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the LGR radio button.

3. Run MODFLOW-LGR.
Save the project. Run MODFLOW .

4. Create a child grid.
Use the Select Cells tool to drag a box in the child grid area. Right-click in the selected area and select Create Child Grid…. Enter child grid parameters in the Create Child Grid dialog.

5. Create additional child grids.
Use the Select Cells tool to drag a box in the child grid area. Right-click in the selected area and select Create Child Grid…. Enter child grid parameters in the Create Child Grid dialog.

6. Define MODFLOW-LGR options.
Select MODFLOW | Global Options. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the LGR Options button. Set parameters in the LGR Options dialog.

7. Save and re-run MODFLOW-LGR.
Save the project. Run MODFLOW .

8. Run child or parent grids uncoupled if needed.
Right-click on the MODFLOW simulation under the child or parent grid in the Project Explorer and select Run MODFLOW Uncoupled On Just This Model.
