1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW project.
The existing model can be created using the conceptual model or grid based approach.

2. Activate the multi-node wells package.
Select MODFLOW \| Global Options. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the Packages button. In the MODFLOW Packages/Processes dialog, select the MNW1 – Multi-Node Wells option.

3. Create MNW1 well boundary conditions.
Using the Select Cells tool, select cells in well areas. Select the MODFLOW \| Advanced \| Sources/Sinks... menu command. Enter wells (MNW1) values in the MODFLOW Sources/Sinks dialog.

4. Modify MNW1 inputs.
Select the MODFLOW \| Optional Packages \| MNW1 – Multi-Node Wells… menu command. Modify inputs in the MODFLOW Multi-Node Well Package dialog.

5. Run MODFLOW.
Save the project. Run MODFLOW .
