1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW project.
The existing model can be created using the conceptual model or grid based approach.

2. Enable the UZF package.
Select MODFLOW \| Global Options. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the Packages button. In the MODFLOW Packages/Processes dialog, select the UZF – Unsaturated Zone Flow option.

3. Assign conceptual model to use UZF.
Right-click on the model map coverage in the Project Explorer and select the Coverage Setup command. Turn on UZF option in the Coverage Setup dialog. Right-click on the model map coverage in the Project Explorer and select the Attribute Table command. Enter UZF parameters in the Attributes Table dialog. Map to MODFLOW .

4. Define UZF package options.
Select the MODFLOW \| Optional Packages \| UZF – Unsaturate Zone Flow menu command. Define parameters in the MODFLOW UZF Package dialog.

5. Run MODFLOW.
Save the project. Run MODFLOW .
