WMS is an excellent tool to help with the development of hydrologic models, but it is not a substitute for engineering knowledge and experience. Users should be knowledgeable about the limitations and applications of the particular hydrologic or hydraulic model when using WMS to develop.
The "docs" sub-directory found in the folder where WMS is installed contains all of the model documentation available in *.pdf format. It is strongly encouraged to read through these files prior to using the models for a particular application. It is also encouraged to seek additional documentation provided by the separate installations of the supported models (for example HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS).
