1. Assign the basic transport package as a SEAM3D model.
  1. Select the MT3DMS | Basic Transport Package menu command if the dialog does not appear when creating the simulation.
  2. In the Basic Transport Package dialog, select the SEAM3D option.
2. Set stress periods for SEAM3D.
  1. In the Basic Transport Package dialog, select the Stress Period button.
  2. Assign stress period parameters in the Stress Periods dialog.
3. Select SEAM3D packages.
  1. In the Basic Transport Package dialog, select the Model Setup button.
  2. Select packages in the MTD3DMS/RT3D Packages dialog. SEAM3D uses the biodegradation, cometabolism, reductive dechlorination, and NAPL dissolution packages.
4. Define species.
  1. Select species in the Define Species dialog.
    • This dialog should appear after selecting SEAM3D packages in the previous step.
5. Setup output control.
  1. In the Basic Transport Package dialog, select the Output Control button.
  2. Select output options in the Output Control dialog.
6. Enter the porosity.
  1. In the Basic Transport Package dialog, select the Porosity button.
  2. Assign values in the Porosity array editor.
7. Enter starting concentrations.
  1. In the Basic Transport Package dialog, enter starting concentration values for the defined species.
