Expand1. Assign arcs as rivers.
Using the Select Arc tool, select river arcs. Select the Properties macro button. Assign river properties in the Attribute Table dialog.

Expand2. Assign properties to river arc nodes.
Using the Select Points/Nodes tool, select nodes on river arcs. Select the Properties macro button. Assign river properties in the Attribute Table dialog.
