Los Angeles County uses a modified form of the rational equation (MODRAT) that accounts for variable rainfall intensities and soil (runoff coefficient) properties. Version 8.0 of WMS includes an interface to the latest version of MODRAT. As final testing/validation of the model improvements are made, the MODRAT program along with the interface in WMS will be available.
