- Right-click on the Map Data folder and select the New Coverage command.
- Use the New Coverage dialog to create a new coverage by selecting the desired coverage type, naming the coverage (optional), and clicking OK.
- Alternatively, a new coverage can be created by:
- Using the Duplicate command on an existing coverage with any feature object currently on that coverage.
- Right-click on the new coverage to change its name using the Rename command.
- Right-click on the new coverage to change its coverage type.
