- Before importing, check that the data is in a file type that SMS can recognize. For CAD data these are DXF and DWG files.
- Use the File | Open command to launch the Open dialog and import the CAD files. (Files can also be imported with the "drag and drop" option.)
- The data should load in layers into the Project Explorer.
