- Right-click on the Map Data folder and select the New Coverage command.
- Use the New Coverage dialog to create a new coverage by selecting the desired coverage type, naming the coverage (optional), and clicking OK.
- Alternatively, a new coverage can be created by using the Duplicate command on an existing coverage, then right-clicking on the new coverage to change its name and type.
