1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW project.
The existing model can be created using the conceptual model or grid based approach.
2. Activate the Recharge package.
  1. Select MODFLOW | Global Options.
  2. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the Packages button.
  3. In the MODFLOW Packages/Processes dialog, select the RCH – Recharge option.
3. Create the recharge coverage.

4. Assign recharge polygon properties.
  1. Double-click on the recharge polygon using the Select Polygon GMS Select Polygon Tool.svg tool.
  2. Assign polygon properties in the Attribute Table dialog.
5. Map to MODFLOW.
  1. Select the conceptual model Conceptual Model Icon.svg.
  2. Select Feature Objects | Map → MODFLOW Map to MODFLOW Macro.svg.
  3. Select the appropriate options in the Map → Model dialog.
6. Assign recharge package properties.
  1. Select the MODFLOW | Optional Packaged | RCH – Recharge menu command.
  2. Assign package properties in the MODFLOW Recharge Package dialog.
7. Run MODFLOW.
  1. Save Save Macro.svg the project.
  2. Run MODFLOW Run MODFLOW Macro.svg.
