1. Create one or more calibration points.
1. Create a Monitor coverage.
Create a new coverage with the SRH-2D "Monitor" type.
  1. Select Map Data in the Project Explorer and use the New Coverage right-click command.
  2. Use the New Coverage dialog to create a new coverage by selecting the desired coverage type, and naming the coverage.
2. Create feature points in the coverage.
  1. Use the Create Feature Point Create Points Tool.svg tool to create points in the coverage. Typically at least two points are created: one in the channel near the upstream boundary, or the bridge opening, and the other in the channel near the downstream boundary.
3. Define the monitor point .
  1. Using the Select Feature Point tool, double-click on a monitoring point.
  2. In the SRH-2D Assign Point Observations, turn on Measure Values and enter applicable values.
2. Set calibration parameters.
  1. In the Project Explorer, right-click on the SRH-2D simulation and select Tools | Advanced Simulation.
  2. In the Advanced Simulation dialog, turn on the Use Parameters option.
  3. Set the Run Type to "Calibration".
  4. Enter the Number of calibration iterations
  5. In the Available Parameters table, select parameters and enter values to use for calibration.
