1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW 6 project.

- The existing MODFLOW 6 model can be created using the conceptual model or grid based approach.

2. Add the EVT package to the simulation.
|
- Right-click on the GWF model and select New Package, then select the desired package from the list.
|
3. Adjust the complexity settings for the IMS solver.
|
- Sometimes the complexity settings on the IMS solver package need to be adjusted to handle the addition of the EVT package. If that is necessary, do so.

4. Modify EVT inputs.
|
- Right-click on the package in the Project Explorer and select the Open command.
- Modify the inputs in the package dialog.
- These inputs include:
- If non-linear variation in the evapotranspiration rate is desired, also specify the following:
- The Number of ET segments in the DIMENSIONS section.
- PXDP1
- PXDP2
- PETM1
- PETM2
