SMS:Mesh Editing Workflow

To create a mesh in SMS, use the following steps:

1. Setup mesh.
How the setup used for the components in the generate the mesh will determine the amount of editing the mesh will need afterwords. Check that all boundaries and features for the mesh have been defined. Set the polygon meshing attributes.

2. Edit during generation.
Some aspects of the mesh can be specified during generation. Use the options in the 2D Mesh Options dialog.

3. Post-processed mesh editing.
After the mesh have been created, there are several options for editing the mesh. Delete extra elements. Delete thin triangles. Renumber node strings. Merge multiple meshes

4. Continue project.
Continue with the project model using the now edited mesh.
