SMS:SRH-2D Monitor Points Workflow

To use SRH-2D monitoring points, follow the steps below:

[show]1. SRH-2D project setup.

Expand1. Create a new SRH-2D simulation. After creating the components of a simulation, create a new SRH-2D simulation. Right-click in the Project Explorer and select the New Simulations | SRH-2D command. Expand2. Add SRH-2D simulation components. To link components to the simulation, do one of the following. Right-click on the component and select the simulation name from the Apply To submenu. In the Project Explorer, click and drag items under the simulation object. Expand3. Set SRH-2D model parameters. Right-click on the simulation and select the Model Control command. Set the model parameters in the SRH-2D Model Control dialog. Expand4. Run the SRH-2D simulation. Right-click on the SRH-2D simulation and select Save Project, Simulation and Run to run the simulation. Use the Simulation Run Queue to track the model run.

[show]2. Create monitor points.
The monitor points must be defined before running the simulation. To do this: Create a monitor points coverage. Use the Create Feature Points tool to create monitor points in the coverage.

[show]3. Add the monitor points to the simulation.
The monitoring points must be added ti the simulation before running SRH-2D. To do this: Create new simulation. Add components to simulation. Add the monitor points coverage to the simulation. Set up the simulation Model Control parameters. See also: SRH Simulation Workflow

[show]4. Run the SRH-2D simulation.
Right-click on the SRH-2D simulation and select Save Project, Simulation and Run to run the simulation. Use the Simulation Run Queue to track the model run.

[show]5. Review results.
Results for the monitor points can be viewed by doing the following: Load solution files. Organize and view solution files in SMS.
