To create FESWMS hydraulic structures, follow the steps below listed for each structure type:

1. Create a channel link structure.
  1. Using the Select Mesh Node Select Point Tool.svg tool, select one or two nodes for the channel link.
  2. Select FESWMS | Channel Link menu command.
  3. Assign channel link attributes in the FESWMS Channel Link dialog.
2. Create a culvert structure.
  1. Using the Select Mesh Node Select Point Tool.svg tool, select inlet and outlet nodes for the culvert.
  2. Select FESWMS | Culvert menu command.
  3. Assign channel link attributes in the FESWMS Culvert dialog.
3. Create a drop inlet structure.
  1. Using the Select Mesh Node Select Point Tool.svg tool, select one or two nodes for the drop inlet.
  2. Select FESWMS | Drop Inlet menu command.
  3. Assign channel link attributes in the Drop Inlet Definition dialog.
4. Create a gate structure.
  1. Using the Select Mesh Node Select Point Tool.svg tool, select one or two nodes for the gate.
  2. Select FESWMS | Gate menu command.
  3. Assign channel link attributes in the FESWMS Gate dialog.
5. Create a pier structure.
  1. Using the Select Elements SMS Select Mesh Element Tool.svg tool, select pier elements in the mesh.
  2. Select FESWMS | Pier menu command.
  3. Assign peir attributes in the FESWMS Pier Definition dialog.
6. Create a weir structure.
1. Create two weir boundary condition nodestrings.
  1. Using the Create Nodestrings SMS Create Nodestring Tool.svg tool, create a nodestring from right to left.
  2. Create a second nodestring opposite the first nodestring,
2. Assign weir attributes.
  1. Using the Select Nodestring SMS Select Nodestring Tool.svg tool, select both weir nodestrings.
  2. Select FESWMS | Weir menu command.
  3. Assign weir attributes in the FESWMS Weir dialog.
