The Edit Window lies above the [[SMS:Graphics_Window|Graphics Window]] and below the [[SMS:Menu_Bar|Menu Bar]]. It includes a rows of edit fields and text strings. The edit fields are dim and the text strings blank if nothing is selected. When an entity, such as a mesh node, is selected, the controls display the attribute values of the selected entity. Some attribute values can be edited as shown in the table below. The attribute values are changed by typing in new values and hitting the ''ENTER'' or ''TAB'' key. If more than one entity is selected, only the Z edit field is available for editing. Entering a new value in the Z edit field will modify the bathymetry or depth of each of the selected entities.
