The GenCade simulation can also include timed events that impact the shoreline. These include dredging events at an inlet, beach fill (nourishment) events, and bypassing events.
Beach Fill
Parameters for characterizing beach fills include begin and end time, location, and width. To define a beach fill, proceed with the following steps:
- Select the arc associated with the beach fill or select the menu option GenCade | Edit Beach Fill.
- The GenCade Beach Fill dialog will appear allowing the entry of beach fill parameters. At this point, the user should specify beach fill parameters
Bypassing Event
Parameters for characterizing bypassing events include begin and end time, location, and bypassing rate. To define a bypassing event, proceed with the following steps:
- Select the arc associated with the bypass or select the menu option GenCade | Edit Bypassing.
- The GenCade Bypassing dialog will appear allowing the entry of bypassing parameters. At this point, the user should specify parameters
