To use the Print Layout tool in to SMS, use the following steps:
1. Start the layout editor.

- Have data correctly displayed in the Graphics Window.
- Select the File | Layout... command.

2. Use the Layout Editor tools.

1. Insert a map.
|
- Using the Insert Map
tool, click and drag in the location of the map.
- Adjust map properties in the list on the right side of the editor.

2. Insert a scale bar.

- Using the Insert Scale Bar
tool, click and drag in the location of the scale bar.
- Adjust scale bar properties in the list on the right side of the editor.

4. Insert text.

- Using the Insert Text
tool, click and drag in the location of the text.
- Adjust text properties in the list on the right side of the editor.

5. Insert rectangle.
|
- Using the Insert Rectangle
tool, click and drag in the location of the rectangle.
- Adjust rectangle properties in the list on the right side of the editor.

6. Insert bitmap image.
|
- Using the Insert Bitmap
tool, click and drag in the location of the image.
- Adjust image properties in the list on the right side of the editor.

3. Print or export the layout.

1. Print layout.

- Select the Layout | Print command.
- Select a printer, print range, and number of copies in the Print dialog.

2. Export layout.
|
- Select the Layout | Export command.
- Select a export location, file name, and file type in the Save As dialog.
