To work with GIS data into GMS, use the following steps:
Using the GIS module in GMS
Expand2. Add GIS properties.

- Right-click on the GIS object and select the Join Table to Layer command.
- Use the Select Table File dialog to specify table information to add to the GIS object.
- Use the Join Table dialog to specify the table data should be added to the GIS object.

Using the GIS module with ArcObjects® in GMS
Requires having a valid ArGIS® license.
Expand3. Add GIS properties.

- Right-click on the GIS object and select the Join Table to Layer command.
- Use the Select Table to join to dialog to specify table information to add to the GIS object.
- If it appears, use the Join dialog to specify which attribute field in the GIS object will receive the table data.

Expand4. Manage GIS layer properties.

- Right-click on the GIS object and select the Properties command.
- Use the Layer Properties dialog to specify layer properties.

Expand5. Convert ArcObjects®.
|
Expand2. Convert to 2D scatter points.
|
- This process requires the active GIS data contain point layers.
- Right-click on the GIS object and select the Convert to | 2D Scatter Points command.

Expand3. Convert to UGrid.
|
- This process requires the active GIS data contain polygons.
- Right-click on the GIS object and select the Convert to | UGrid command.
