Template:WAM Generate Grid Workflow

1. Generate an WAM coverage in the map module.

Create a new coverage with the WAM type. 1. Create new coverage from scratch. Select Map Data in the Project Explorer and use the New Coverage right-click command. Use the New Coverage dialog to create a new coverage by selecting the desired coverage type, and naming the coverage. 2. Create new coverage from an existing coverage. Use the Duplicate command on an existing coverage. This will copy any feature objects on the coverage. Use the Rename command to give the coverage a new name. Change the coverage type.

2. Create grid frame.
With the WAM coverage active, do the following: Use the Create 2D Grid Frame File:Create 2D Grid Frame.png tool to define a the grid frame. Using the Select 2D Grid Frame File:Tool GridFrame.png tool, double-click on the grid frame. In the Grid Frame Properties dialog, edit the grid frame properties and assign elevation data.

3. Convert coverage to 2D Grid.
Right-click on the WAM coverage and select the Convert | Map → 2D Grid command. In the Grid Frame Properties dialog, review the grid frame properties and assigned elevation data.
