To use the UZF (Unsaturate-Zone Flow) package in an existing MODFLOW project, use the following processes:

1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW project.
The existing model can be created using the conceptual model or grid based approach.
2. Enable the UZF package.
  1. Select MODFLOW | Global Options.
  2. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the Packages button.
  3. In the MODFLOW Packages/Processes dialog, select the UZF – Unsaturated Zone Flow option.
3. Assign conceptual model to use UZF.
1. Turn on UZF coverage options.
  1. Right-click on the model map coverage in the Project Explorer and select the Coverage Setup command.
  2. Turn on UZF option in the Coverage Setup dialog.
2. Define UZF attributes.
  1. Right-click on the model map coverage in the Project Explorer and select the Attribute Table command.
  2. Enter UZF parameters in the Attributes Table dialog.
3. Map to MODFLOW.
  1. Select the conceptual model Conceptual Model Icon.svg.
  2. Select Feature Objects | Map → MODFLOW Map to MODFLOW Macro.svg.
  3. Select the appropriate options in the Map → Model dialog.
4. Define UZF package options.
  1. Select the MODFLOW | Optional Packages | UZF – Unsaturate Zone Flow menu command.
  2. Define parameters in the MODFLOW UZF Package dialog.
5. Run MODFLOW.
  1. Save Save Macro.svg the project.
  2. Run MODFLOW Run MODFLOW Macro.svg.
