Template:Create Pilot Points Workflow

1. Create fixed scatter points
Switch to the 2D Scatter Point module. Use the Create Scatter Points tool to create scatter points in the desired location. Use the Select Scatter Points tool along with the XYZF bar to adjust the scatter point values.

2. Convert existing data to 2D scatter points.

1. 2D grid to 2D scatter point. Select the Grid | Convert To> | 2D Scatter Points menu command. Enter a name in the Scatter Point Set Name dialog. 2. 2D mesh to 2D scatter point. Select the Mesh | Convert To> | 2D Scatter Points menu command. Enter a name in the Scatter Point Set Name dialog. 3. Map to 2D scatter point. Select the Feature Objects |Map → 2D Scatter Points menu command. Enter a name in the Scatter Point Set Name dialog. 4. TIN to 2D scatter point. Select the TINs | Convert To> | 2D Scatter Points menu command. 5. Boreholes to 2D scatter point. Use the Select Contacts tool to select all contacts to be converted. Select the Boreholes | Advanced> | Contacts → 2D Scatter Points menu command. Enter a name in the Scatter Point Set Name dialog. 6. MODFLOW Layers to 2D scatter point. Select the Grid | MODFLOW Layers → 2D Scatter Points menu command. Enter a parameters in the MODFLOW Layers → Scatter Points dialog.
