The Import MODFLOW Tables tool is accessed by double-clicking on " Import MODFLOW Tables" under the " Import" toolset under the " MODFLOW Analyst" toolset under the " Arc Hydro Groundwater Tools" toolbox.
This geoprocessing tool imports a MODFLOW model into a geodatabase. This tool should only be used after running the Import MODFLOW Model or Import Georeferenced MODFLOW Model tool. Tables in the geodatabase store the information from the MODFLOW model, based on the MODFLOW Data Model. The tool can also be used to import data into an existing MODFLOW geodatabase by changing one or more tables while leaving the rest of the changes to the database in place. This might be used to just update the WEL package by importing an adjusted well package into the geodatabase to see the effects of a candidate well, for example.
The following fields are available. Required fields are marked with a icon. Fields marked with a icon may either not be supported or the table doesn't exist.
- MODFLOW Analyst MF2K Executable – Click the button to bring up the Open dialog in order to specify the location (local path) of the MODFLOW Analyst MF2K executable. This executable reads the MODFLOW files and exports them to a geodatabase.
- MODFLOW Project Name File – Click the button to bring up the Open dialog in order to specify the name file of the MODFLOW simulation. Usually has a .nam or .mfn extension.
- MODFLOW Geodatabase – Click the button to bring up the MODFLOW Geodatabase dialog in order to specify the name file of the existing geodatabase where the MODFLOW tables will be imported.
- MODFLOW Packages to Overwrite – Optional. If one or more packages are turned on, they will be overwritten based on the MODFLOW data files. Turn off a specific package to prevent overwriting that package's information:
- "Basic (BAS6)"
- "Block-Centered Flow (BCF6)"
- "Cell Index"
- "Discretization"
