Starting at version 12.2 there is a free version of SMS called "Community Edition". It is limited to include only the [[SMS:Mesh_Module|2D mesh module]] and the [[SMS:SRH-2D|SRH-2D]] model interface. Any SHR-2D project can be imported, but if there is more than one mesh or one simulation, the project cannot be saved. Any SHR-2D project can be imported, but if there is more than one mesh or one simulation, the project cannot be saved. The community edition must still be registered using a license code which can be obtained via the internet from the Registration Wizard (Help | Register | Change Registration | Request License).
