To build an SRH-2D model using a culvert, use the following steps:
1. SRH-2D project setup.

- Start with an SRH-2D project that ready to have a structure added.
- Load an SRH-2D project.
- Start and build componets for an SRH-2D simulation.
- Before creating a structure, the SRH-2D project should have already have the following:
- Data for project has been imported.
- Elevation data has been reviewed and edited including that all projections are correct.
- Model limits defined using the Mesh Generator coverage and a mesh has been generated from it.
- Materials have been defined in a Materials coverage.

2. Create culvert boundary conditions.

- Create boundary condition arcs for the culvert.
- Specify the HY-8 culvert definition file.
- Assign the boundary condition attributes and define the culvert in HY-8.
- Modify the materials coverage.

3. Specify the initial conditions of the stream.
|
|
5. Review results.
|
- Open _XMDF file.
- Results layers.
- Observation lines.
- Summary table.
- Run the Plot Wizard.
- Data calculator.
