To import GIS in to SMS, use the following steps:

| Expand1. Start SMS, or clear existing projects in SMS.

- If SMS is already running, select File | Delete All.
- A new project can also be started by using CTRL + N.

|
- Load DEM files.
- Load additional data, such TIN files.

| [show]3. Add properties.
|
- Register image.
- Set projections.
|
| [show]4. Convert data.
|
- Convert to map, grid, or scatter modules.
- Interpolate data to scatter module, grid module, mesh module, or map coverage.
