SMS:Raster Data Workflow: Difference between revisions

To import GIS in to SMS, use the following steps:

1. SMS project setup.

1. Start SMS, or clear existing projects in SMS.
If SMS is already running, select File \| Delete All. A new project can also be started by using CTRL + N.

2. Set the display projection.
Select the Display \| Projection... command. Set the horizontal and vertical projection using the Display Projection dialog.

2. Import data.
If necessary prepare files so they can be read by SMS. Load raster files (DEM, ASC, TIF, etc.).

3. Add properties.
Register images. Set projections.

4. Convert data.
Convert to map, grid, or scatter modules. Interpolate data to scatter module, grid module, mesh module, or map coverage.
