===Run ADCIRC===
Presently, ADCIRC uses a specific naming convention for its input and output files. Therefore, before ADCIRC can start, the basic input files must be present in the working directory, which SMS takes care of automatically.

To run ADCIRC:
# Select ''ADCIRC'' | '''Model Control'''.
# Select the ''General'' Tab.
# Name the project in the ''Project title:'' field and enter a name in the ''Run ID:'' field as well.
# Press '''OK'''.
# Select ''ADCIRC ''| '''Run ADCIRC'''.
# If the name of the ADCIRC executable does not appear, click the folder icon, locate the ADCIRC executable, and click '''OK'''.

The ADCIRC model wrapper appears and gives status for 64800 time steps while the model runs. On a typical desktop machine, this will take around 15 minutes. Once the ADCIRC run has completed, there will be several new files created. See [[SMS:ADCIRC Files|ADCIRC Files]] for more information about the files generated.

The ADCIRC model makes use of right-click menus in both the simulation and with ADCIRC coverages.

ADCIRC Simulation Menu

The following menu commands are available in the ADCIRC menu:

Delete
Removes the selected simulation.
Duplicate
Creates a copy of the selected simulation.
Rename
Allows changing the name of the selected simulation.
Simulation Run Queue
Model Control
Opens the ADCIRC Model Control dialog.
Model Check
Starts the model checker.
Export ADCIRC
Creates all of the input files needed for the ADCIRC model run.
Launch ADCIRC
Runs the ADCIRC engine and generates output files. See below for more information
Save Project, Simulation and Run
Performs the process of saving the SMS project, exporting the ADCRIC input files, and launching the ADCIRC simulation.
Properties
Opens a Properties dialog showing information about the simulation.

ADCIRC Coverage Menus

Boundary Conditions

When right-clicking on an ADCIRC boundary conditions coverage, the following additional commands are available:
