WMS:GIS Menus

The GIS Module has the following module specific menus:

Data

• Enable ArcObjects – Queries the ESRI license manager for ArcView/ArcGIS® to see if a license exists. See Enabling ArcObjects.
• Add Data – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows importing of any ESRI-supported file. See Add Data.
• Add Shapefile Data – Allows browsing for and opening of shapefiles as GIS layers in WMS. See Add Shapefile Data.
• Add GIS Data – Allows browsing for and opening of any GIS file.
• Map Properties – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows for specifying the coordinate system (or map features) to display from the ArcGIS© data layer. See Map Properties.

Selection

• Select By Attributes – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows selection of layer features based on a query of the attributes and their values. See Selection by Attribute.
• Select By Location – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows selection of features from one or more GIS layers based on their spatial relationship to another layer. See Selection by Location.
• Clear Selected Features – With ArcObjects® enabled, deselects all currently selected features. See Clearing Selected Features.
• Interactive Selection Method
  • Create New Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, creates a new selection list.
  • Add to Current Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, adds a feature to the current list of selected features.
  • Remove from Current Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, removes a feature from the current list of selected features.
  • Select From Current Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, selects a feature from those on the current list of selected features.
• Options – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows specification of how features are selected and the way they are displayed. See Graphical Selection.
• Selectable Layers – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows specification of which layers are selectable. See See Feature Selection.

Mapping

• ArcObjects→Feature Objects – With ArcObjects® enabled, maps one or more ArcObjects® to one or more Feature Objects. See Mapping to Feature Objects.
• Shapes→Feature Objects – Maps one or more shapes to one or more Feature Objects. See Mapping to Feature Objects
• Feature Objects→Geodatabase – With ArcObjects® enabled, maps one or more Feature Object to a Geodatabase. See Feature Objects to Geodatabase.
• Feature Objects→ArcHydro Geodatabase – With ArcObjects® enabled, maps one or more Feature Object to an ArcHydro® Geodatabase using a specific format. See Feature Objects to ArcHydro Geodatabase.

Images

• Import – Import a background image to aid in plotting and object construction. See Importing an Image.
• Screen Capture – Create a screen capture of the current display in WMS. See Screen Capture.
