The GIS Module has the following module specific menus:
Data
- Enable ArcObjects – Queries the ESRI license manager for ArcView/ArcGIS® to see if a license exists. See Enabling ArcObjects.
- Add Data – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows importing of any ESRI-supported file. See Add Data.
- Add Shapefile Data – Allows browsing for and opening of shapefiles as GIS layers in WMS. See Add Shapefile Data.
- Add GIS Data – Allows browsing for and opening of any GIS file.
- Map Properties – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows for specifying the coordinate system (or map features) to display from the ArcGIS© data layer. See Map Properties.
Selection
- Select By Attributes – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows selection of layer features based on a query of the attributes and their values. See Selection by Attribute.
- Select By Location – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows selection of features from one or more GIS layers based on their spatial relationship to another layer. See Selection by Location.
- Clear Selected Features – With ArcObjects® enabled, deselects all currently selected features. See Clearing Selected Features.
- Interactive Selection Method
- Create New Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, creates a new selection list.
- Add to Current Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, adds a feature to the current list of selected features.
- Remove from Current Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, removes a feature from the current list of selected features.
- Select From Current Selection – With ArcObjects® enabled, selects a feature from those on the current list of selected features.
- Options – With ArcObjects® enabled, allows specification of how features are selected and the way they are displayed. See Graphical Selection.
