To include inputs for sediment transportation in a long-term GSSHA model, do the following:

1. Set sediment transport parameters.
  1. Open Job Control..., turn on Soil erosion and select Edit parameter....
  2. Set the soil parameters, including computation methods, elevations, and sediments.
  3. In the Job Control dialog, enter the information for channel routing and all other necessary data.
  4. Select a stream arc in the Graphics Window to bring up the properties dialog and enter a number in the Max erosion column.
2. Assign an index map.
  1. Select an index map in the Project Explorer and assign it to the GSSHA model.
3. Define erosion parameters.
  1. Go to Map Tables... under the GSSHA menu and select the Soil Erosion tab.
4. Define the output control.
  1. Go to Job Control and select the Output Control... button.
5. Run the simulation.
  1. Save and run the GSSHA simulation.
  2. Right-click on any of the graphs listed in the Project Explorer to view them.
