WMS:DEM Delineation Workflow

To delineate a DEM in WMS, use the following steps:

Expand1. Start the Hydrologic Modeling Wizard and setup the project.
Click the Hydrologic Modeling Wizard macro icon to start the wizard. If needed, complete the project setup by: Set the project file name and save the project. Define the project bounds and projection. Import a DEM file.

Expand2. Compute flow directions and accumulations.
Go to the Compute Flow Directions and Flow Accumulations step of the wizard. Select options and run TOPAZ.

Expand3. Choose outlet location.
Go to the Choose Outlet Locations tool in the wizard. Select the Create outlet point tool in the wizard and create a point the Graphics Window.

Expand4. Delineate watershed.
Go to the Delineate Watershed tool in the wizard. Set options and click the Delineate Watershed button.

Expand5. Create sub-basins. (optional)
Go to the Choose Outlet Locations tool in the wizard. Select the Create outlet point tool in the wizard and create a point the Graphics Window. Go to the Delineate Watershed tool in the wizard. Set options and click the Delineate Watershed button.
